Windows Central Question

I just bought a lumia 640 lte gsm unlocked from b&h.

It is listed as the orange one. I heard someone said the orange one was only international.

I was wondering if it will still work with u.s.a gsm carriers or h20wireless?

You'll be able to use it fit base 2G, which includes calling and texting. More than likely you won't be able to use 4G LTE speeds because it's not compatible with USA frequencies for LTE.

The customer service keeps telling me it works even though i told them it's an international version unless there is a usa version of orange one too.

I looked in b&h site and its lte bands are 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,17,20,28

The bands for at & t and tmobiles are 2,4,12,17

The u.k. microsoft store has their lumia 640 LTE bands as 1,3,7,8,20

I don't know how bands for LTE works but i hope it works otherwise b&h needs to fix their mess.

BTW the lumia 640 I will have is the dual sim. I'm not sure if that will determine if I get LTE or not

The 640 and 640XL appear to be built with more universal radios that support a whole lot more frequencies than required in any particular area. Based on my research (I don't actually own one), an international 640 will likely work with US LTE just fine.

Where did you find those info? BTW the lumia posted on this blog is a dual sim. hopefully that will provide all bands for tmobile and at&t in the U.S.A

. you are wrong and I'm here to con firm it works. I have international 1075rm. I went to tmobile to test it and have a plan with h2o wireless (at&t) bands. They both work
