Why can't I verify my account on my Lumia phone?

I cant verify my account on my lumia phone

Will not allow me to update my apps as asks me to verify the account by text or call but the number registered is the number that came with the phone and I had my provider change to my old number. I have been on live but still can't change or get a code called and spoke to Microsoft 4 times no help what so ever !!
