How can I get pictures off my phone that doesn't have a SIM card?

I have a Nokia 1020 (I think that's the model) and I don't have a SIM card in it. I bought one and the sales person forced the card in backwards and ruined it so I can't put one in now.

Anyway, I have a number of pictures and videos on the phone that don't show up when I plug the phone into my computer and go through the explorer. I can view the pictures and videos fine on the phone but can't find a way to get them off.

Any suggestions?

the SIM card shouldn't be a factor here.

Make sure the phone is turned on and is not at the lockscreen when plugged into the PC.
Check OneDrive because WP uploads/backs up photos by default to your MS account's OneDrive.
