Why are applications currupting and needing to reinstall constantly?

I have been experiencing applications needing to be uninstalled and reinstalled every now and then. The most recent is Brave Frontier, however, it has happed with others such as Here Drive and such.

Overall question is this something that has to do with the device, such as perhaps the internal memory going bad? It has happened to apps that have been installed in both the SD card and internal memory.

First guess is failing SD card. While not impossible the internal memory generally is much less likely to fail. I have seen OS corruption before which required a hard reset to make a phone behave though.
