My folder vanished, how can I get it back?

Folder vanished

I am using Windows 10, and I have just discovered that one of my folders has vanished. It is not anywhere on my hard drive, and I am quite sure I have not deleted it. FreeUndelete was unable to find it, at any rate. Has anyone else run into such a problem?

I had the exact same problem 2 weeks ago. Tried scanning for it with Recuva but nothing came up so I assumed I'd accidentally removed it or something. On second thought, the files I kept in there were really important and I always make sure there's nothing relevant in my Recycle Bin before cleaning it up. Turns out it's not just me.

Win10 may have hidden the folder for some odd reason.
I'd try going to view and checking "hidden items" to see if the folder magically shows up.

Unfortunately, it was not hidden.
