Why my battery is draining fast and system is getting heated over heated?

I have upgraded to Windows 10 just after it's launch. But it was heating more than usual and also battery is draining fast. So I have made clean installation of windows 10. But I am still facing same issue.
So can anyone please tell me why it's happening and if possible, provide me solution for the same.
By the way, it's 3rd generation i5 with 4 GB RAM.
