One problem with the 1320 is the quality of the images it takes, 5MB compared to 13 and Zisse optics + the capabilities of LC5.0.

For me The camera is the only reason to make me switch to the 640XL

I have owned both. 640 XL is getting cheaper all the time and the camera is miles better. Also, it is lighter and the battery life seems identical to me despite the slightly smaller battery (I get over 2 days generally with medium usage). It feels great in the hand too, less slippy than the 1320. Finally, the screen is better too. Colours have more pop and contrast is better. I wasn't interest in the 640XL at its launch price but I bought one 2 weeks ago for ?159 unlocked and at that money its a no brainer.

I'm on 8.1 at the moment. I'm not a gamer but do browse quite a bit and watch the odd youtube video. The battery life on this phone was a pleasant surprise. Its one of only a few handsets I've owned that I can confidently expect to see me through to bed time on day 2. The others were my 1520 and my Huawei Ascend Mate 2 (which has a crazy long battery life due to its 4100mah battery and middling specs).

I'd recommend you to stick with your current phone and wait for the new batch of mobiles. I kind of feel like new midranges will have at least 1.5GB of RAM. At some point in the near future, 720p phones with 1GB RAM will fall short of RAM.
