how do i change the id on a homegroup

I had a hard drive crash, reinstalled windows, and somehow have a homegroup ID that is different from all the other computers on my network. this computer is running Win7.

it usually creates a Homegroup for you if it doesn't find other homegroups, I remember that.
so what you should do it's leaving the current homegroup

and then you should get the option to join the other homegroup you had before. well I guess this is what you mean. "homegroup ID" is something I couldn't figure out.
I hope that's what you were talking about.

it could also be the computer name, which is on system (win+pause) and then you can change your PC name.

I better add both things so I will make sure I give a better answer.
