What happens if you restore with technical preview

I have windows 10 technical preview. If I do a system restore will I lose my technical preview version of windows 10 and have to upgrade back to it or will it keep me on the same technical preview version?

I should mention that I'm asking because I want to reset my computer and I also don't have internet at the moment.

I sold my old laptop with TP. Reinstalled Windows and was automatically activated
