Driver updates mess up my touchpad.

Hello.

When trying to update the chipset and Ic2 controller my touchpad stops functioning. A system restore fixes it but the drivers cannot be updated. Can somebody help me

If it's not broken, don't fix it. In other words, if updating the drivers breaks things, then don't update the drivers.
