Message saying cant be delivered but it has?

I have sent a couple of texts where it sends 3 or 4 times and it finally comes back and says your message cannot be delivered. When I check with the recipient, they have received it the 3 or 4 times.. Why is this happening?

You may check this issue with your mobile service provider, since the issue may not be with your device.
