Any way to reinstall default file explorer app?

The default file explorer app for windows 10 has stopped working for me. Can't remove it and it opens then exits so idk what's up with it. In the mean time I downloaded the old files app and that works but would like to have the native app.

My device is Lumia 950 xl. And also should I go for any insider builds? As seems there are some bugs on the stock version that might have been knocked out in a later version

Its a system app so I guess it's not a Store download. I would suggest removing the microSD card and try again? (if it applies to you). If not, check if there are any additional updates you're missing from the Store. If even that doesn't work then try a soft-reset. If nothing works then a hard reset might be imminent.
