Will I lose system app updates if I did a hard reset on my lumia 930 running W10m build 586.29?

I have had issues mainly that slide keyboard gestures and long press were not working in uc browser as well as the inability to use keyboard gestures while typing in edge and store searches. So, I am thinking to do a hard reset, however I doubt that these things will be fixed but I am more concerned about my system apps reverting back to their older versions.

If with keyboard gestures you're referring to the swipe text entering thingy, then you can hard reset as long as you want to. Neither Edge nor the Store support this input method. Not sure about UC Browser.

Agree with ^^.
But after a hard reset the system apps will not revert to the "old" wp8.1 versions.
This only may (partial) happen if you install a old (wp8.1) backup during the new set-up.
