WPCentral Question

For recently uploaded JPG / JPEG files, Onedrive no longer recognizes them as images and therefore does not show the thumbnail; it shows a grey box with a graphic of what looks like a mountain inside.

For previously uploaded JPG files, when right clicking and selecting "details", Onedrive reports them as "JPG Image." For more recently uploaded JPG files, Onedrive reports them to be "JPG File."

I have tested this with fresh JPG files that have come straight from my camera and having done no editing to them whatsoever.

This is also not a browser issue as it occurs in Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome. It's the same story everywhere. And, I have computers running XP, Win7, and Win10 and it's the same there.

A couple things to check.

Make sure the built in Ms Photo app is set as the default photo app.

Check if File Explorer is set to "show thumbnails instead of icons"

Google it. Might have some hiccup with file association.

If it is OneDrive website via the web browser, check your file view settings to show larger icons. Try a different web browser. GL
