Why is my battery life draining so fast on my new Lumina 950XL?

I am a new owner/user of the Lumina 950XL. I have upgraded from my old 1020.
I have to say while I love the device thus far. My batter is drained in three hours.
This is even with the batter save setting on.
I cannot live with the phone if this is the extent of its life in a day.
Can anyone tell me how I can see if it is a setting issue or may it simply be a defective battery? or device?

So I had not extreme battery issues but enough for me to notice. I've read alot about how restore an old back up might not help battery life. If you have the time. Factory reset and do a fresh start without restoring a back up. It's a time killer but I've already notice my stand by time improving.
