How does office 365 support after 1 year usage of free subscription?

i'm using lumia 640 xl lte, please clarify this, that the ms lumia 640 allows to use office 365 for 1 year with free subscription, but after 1 year usage, when failed to subscribe does it allow at least to read the office files in phone?

I just investigated this whole thing.

Office for Windows Mobile (devices under 10") can use the full function of Office Mobile for free. No subscription is required. You may need to uninstall and re-install the apps.

The 365 subscription for a year was to give you access to install it on PC and other devices. Not for use on Windows Mobile.
