I can only see the photos on my SD card by plugging my phone into my PC

Hi - I have just put a Sandisk 32GB SD card into my windows phone and told it to store all new photos, apps etc on it. However I have taken some photos and they are not appearing in my photo albums or uploading to onedrive. I can only see them by connecting my phone to my PC. Can anyone help? I also don't seem to be able to download apps. Have tried formatting the SD card to no avail.

First check and see if there's any updates for the Photos app in the Store. Restarting your phone may help (hold down power and volume down buttons together for about 10 seconds until it vibrates). Also, check your Onedrive camera upload settings.
