Can 3rd party Windows Phone apps be used with T-Mobile's Music Freedom?

I'm considering changing my plan on T-Mobile to get the free music streaming/music freedom. Does this work with 3rd party apps, since there aren't WP apps for all the services? I saw that it has to be specifically using an app. There are only a few I would be concerned about. I believe Pandora is an official app, but is Spotify? I don't think there is an official SoundCloud app, so I use Audiocloud. Does anyone know if that will count, or is there not much point in getting this plan on a windows phone? Any info is appreciated.
