LUMIA 950 XL , wrong os for dock deal?

i have a new lumia 950xl . using the lumia app it shows the dock offer . when i follow through a couple of stages it says .. sorry lumia offers app is only available to devices using windows phone 8.1 or later. close application.
now seeing as im using lumia 950xl windows 10 updated.. am i missing somthing?
any ideas.. please
