Can't end whatsapp calls

I have accidentally called people twice on my Nokia Lumia 635.
When I try to press End Call, the screen goes black and won't let me so I have to carry out the calls. Slightly awkward and inconvenient.

I've seen the same behaviour, What I do is just disconnect from internet and nothing will happen :wink:

I saw this recently on a Samsung galaxy prime. It also happened with regular gsm calls as well. The problem was the proximity sensors. Changing the part worked. Unknown to the owner, the screen had been slightly squeezed. Maybe in putting on the tempered glass? Maybe a manufacturing defect? Either way a new screen solved the issue.

That's a hardware issue which usually requires money to solve. Any quick solution?

Take it back to the store. Seems like a manufacturer defect. There is another post along the same lines on the forum
