The screen is going black when I go in to the apps on it but is fine when its turning on, what can I do?

the screen is going black when i go in to the apps on it but is fine when its turning on

i made a Microsoft accaunt and down loaded a file maneger and it turned the phone off then on and now when i go to open the apps it goes black but seems fine when turning on

Sounds like the Johnson rods are overheating lol. try a soft reset
