Ever since the latest update, I noticed that switching on bluetooth causes the phone keypad to disappear. When a text entry field is clicked, there is no keypad displayed to type text.

Is the phone paired to any BT keyboards? Remove any such pairings...
Also, try a Soft Reset. Hold the Volume Down + Power buttons until the phone vibrates and reboots (about 10 seconds).
