Upgraded to W10 and I lost all my pictures!

[Windows Central Question]

I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, and I seem to have lost all my pictures. Everything else remains, it's just the pictures that have gone. I had divided all my pictures into several folders according to event, date, etc. and all these folders are still there! Even the folders within the folders are there! It's just the pictures that have all disappeared. In the 'life at a glance' feature I can see a slideshow of all my pictures, but if I right click and choose 'open file location' they say that it's unable to do so. HELP!!

I'm trying to think whether its hidden? Cant remember as I have my setting to show hidden files and folders... Anything on OneDrive?

I selected show hidden files as well, and it's not there. I haven't even signed into OneDrive, so there's nothing there :/
