My Nokia Lumia 635 wont charge..

Hello, I got my Nokia Lumia 635 exactly 1 year ago so I can't replace it anymore and the problem is that once I plug my charger it shows the charging sign but however it don't charge my phone at all. I tried to soft reset it but it didn't work so it ended up by charging out completely so I left it pluged in over night (in case it needed more time to charge) and I waited for a miracle to happen but it didn't... I would like to ask if anyone has ever had this problem before or know what I could do before taking it to Nokia service... Or should I get a new battery for it? Thanks alot
