How to turn cortona on and off?

On Windows Phone or Windows for laptop/desktop/tablet?

In Windows Phone and Mobile open Cortana, open the "hamburger menu" at the top right of the screen, choose settings and switch Cortana off.

In Windows 10 open Cortana, choose "notebook", settings, then turn her off.
