Why did all my documents revert BACK to 2014 -after doing the Windows 10 upgrade?

I did this upgrade on Jan, 16 2016!! The files and documents that I need happen to be on our home network... Now they're gone... -well, they all reverted BACK to 2014!!
Help! I need my documents back! It is IMPERATIVE to my work! I "lost" 2+ years!

You will need to give much much more information, if you truly want help. Start with: What devices? What software? Where stored? What are you referring to, when you say "They reverted back to 2014"? In what way did which files revert back to 2014?

Hi.. Sorry, I should have been more specific.. all my word documents, excel spreadsheets have been 'reverted' back to 2014. In other words, all the docs I've worked on, memos that I wrote, excel sheets created within the passed 2+ years are NO WHERE in their folder.. it seems like I 'stopped' working 2 years ago, and that is the last thing I see.. They were in a shared folder on my desktop (which was on the Network) Hope this helps and that I was clearer...
