I have a nokia lumina 520 and unless I am at home on my wifi, I cannot use the internet. Why?

I have a 4G plan and cannot use my plan for internet access at all, but still get calls and texts.

In Settings > cellular + SIM > SIM settings > you need to make sure your APN is correct. Switch to manula and then set according to the value your carrier recommends on their site.
