was there a recent win 10 update for fast ring users? my pc is being slow.

I woke up today not noticing my desktop running really slow. some icons have disappeared mostly windows apps from Store, to Groove, Videos.

The computer is slow. I can't access the control panel, and I can barely access the browser. I'm on my surface right now trying to figure out what the heck just happened over night? I want to restore to a later setting but I can't even find that.

any help would be great. I really cannot pin point the problem.

action center is unresponsive, I cant get to 'settings', icons are disappearing and slow browsers and programs are happening everywhere.

A new build came out a few hours ago. You'd know if your computer was updated though, there would be an indication on the desktop. Build 14251.

I did manage to update it to 14251.rs1)release.160124-1059

But the apps are still missing. Groove, Store, Outlook, Calendar, my Adobe suit

Some random apps on my taskbar are only there like Steam, iTunes, Spotify, onenote

Could an update overnight the other night went wrong and ****e over my desktop?

I can't even access Action Center.
I'm trying to figure this out if I should revert back to later build or the latest public release of win10? How do I do that if I can't access action center :(
