How do I change things I don't like in windows 10?

I had windows 8.1 and would put it to sleep, come back some time later, click the mouse and I was up and running. With windows 10 I put it to sleep and when I come back I click the mouse and a scenery comes on, I click it and a blue screen comes on with a circle of dots, That lasts for about a minute and then my sign in shows up and I have to put my password in. Can I eliminate all this and go back to the way it was?

I think this would be under settings, search for sleep settings and check if "require a password on wake up" is enabled.
