Start Menu and Cortana not working?

Why can't windows fix this even if your using Advast Anti Virus and mine isn't free I paid for the internet version of it. After all windows made windows 10 so why can't they fix it to run properly I have had Advast on this computer since I built it and since Windows 10 came out why is it only casing a problem now?

Should be the other way around. Advast should fix their product to work witn Windows 10.

I had a nightmare with Cortana initially - really flaky stuff where she would respond for about an hour then for no apparent reason, just stop talking, after which the computer would keep freezing every time I tried to interact with her (through multiple restarts). I seem to have resolved these issues by turning all the cards off (I wasn't getting any information from them anyway, with UK setup), not even Health results which I was getting on my iPad. After disabling all the cards except appointments and reminders, Cortana now appears to be stable - I've had no more issues for the past 2 days since disabling the cards.

My Cortana is also down on my pc and phone. I live in the UK. Maybe upgrades ?
