How to clear loading screen

[Windows Central Question]

I have a surface pro1. It's been on this updating mood for almost a full day now. "Working on features. 100% complete. Don't turn off computer" and the circle is spinning. How to I get off of that? I've tried turning it off by holding the power button down. I've tried ctrl, alt, del. I've tried letting that computer die.
