EarPhone Jack Not working on Lumia 950xl

When I make a call after plugging in the earphones, I cant hear anything. But if I plug in earphones after I make the call, it works fine. Anyone knows the issue?

I have tried 3-4 types of earphones/headphones, getting the same issue.

I'm not sure I fully understand. Can you hear music played though headphones, but not telephone calls?

If the headphones were wired for an iPhone, it may not be compatible with Windows Phone. Apple uses a proprietary headphone jack wiring scheme.

I tried Samsung and Sony earphones.

Everything else works fine, just the calls have issues. If I want to make a call and use earphones, I have to first dial the number, wait for the ring and then plug in the earphones. Only then I can hear from the earphones, otherwise, if i plug in the earphones first, and then make the call...there is no sound.

What is so special about the earphones for Lumia 950xl Dual Sim.
Any idea?
