Windows Central Question

I have been using my pc sucessfully, today. I guess I must have inadvertently pressed a combination of keys which has caused my cursor to disappear.
Has anyone please got any idea how I can get my cursor back?
Many thanks.

First of all which operating system are you using?

These are the steps for Windows, XP, 7, 8 and 10.

1) Press the Windows key + R together

2) Type in control panel and press enter

3) Type in mouse in the search bar in the corner (the cursor should already be in that box) and press enter

4) Press the tab key (above caps lock) to go down to the "Mouse icon" you will see a dotted box around the word "mouse"

5) navigate down to "make it easier to show my mouse pointer" using the arrow keys {the dotted box will show what item is selected} and press enter

6) Use the tab key to navigate to the tabs in the mouse properties dialogue box (if you don't see the dotted box otherwise got step 7)

7) Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to "pointer option tab"

8) Again use tab to navigate down to "show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key".

9)Press the spacebar once to tick the box

10)Press enter or navigate down to the OK button and press the spacebar once to enable.

Now when your press the ctrl key (below) shift it will display the mouse pointer.

Simply go back to the mouse properties in the control panel again to disable it.
