Upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10. Stops at updates?

Upgrade fron win 7 to win 10. Stops at updates

I was upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 10 last night. Was fine until it got to checking for updates. It was checking for 3+ hours. I restarted it and tried again. Same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

first update your win 7 if there are any updates pending applicable to win 7 only then maybe try to upgrade to windows 10, maybe that could be a bug with the update app broken and an update might be pending to fix that.
