Turning off Narrator while connected to bluetooth

I use my phone in my car all the time for music. When I get an incoming message, my music gets paused and I get Cortana asking if I want to read or ignore the message. Usually after I ignore it I have to start up my music manually. This is really annoying, does anyone have a solution for this issue? I would really appreciate it. I am using a Lumia 950XL running windows 10.

Not sure what the issue is? Your title suggests that you simply want to turn off the narrator, but your description of the problem suggests that you're having issues with the music not resuming after Cortana alerts you about a text. Which is it? or both?
