Windows 10 crashes when starting or stopping a video file (not every-time)

My pc totally freezes every now and then when starting or stopping a video file.
Perhaps 25% of the time.
I thought perhaps it was JetAudio that was causing the issue but the MS Media Player does the same thing. It means I have to do a hard boot.

I have reinstalled graphics drivers to no avail.

does this happen with any video or just the really high quality ones? And does your pc have a good amount of RAM or graphics card?
