Why is my lumia 550 not charging after the latest insider update

[Windows Central Question]

So the after I installed the insider fast ring update that came out today the phone refuses to charge or connect to the PC via the USB cord. I have already tried resetting it. Any ideas?

Here's a novel idea: If you rely on your phone for life or death matters, don't install experimental software on it. I suggest you use WDRT.

You can't. This build doesn't see any USB connection. I also can't connect it via my pc to use WDRT.

I found a way to fix my issue. Somehow I am flashing it now via WDRT to the previous stable build.

What I did.

1. Start WDRT, select "device not listed bla bla" and Lumia
2. Turn off the phone Vol - & + and hold the powerbutton. With that it will be in some kind of bootloop.
3. Check WDRT and it will see the phone and software.
4. Reinstall and it is done. Got .107 back

we can't do anything anyways, the phone keeps in a restart loop with 3% of battery and WDRT needs at least 25%
