HD LTE for Lumia 640XL

Hi, have a brand new Lumia 640XL. This thing has awesome call quality. But, I live in a small town and may not have true 4GLTE from some of my cell towers. So my speakerphone experience is not good, it distorts any notch above 6 on the volume from a regular phone call. Anyone know, is my speaker bad so I take the phone back, or is it just sketchy reception??
