Office apps won't pin files

[Windows Central Question]

3 new Lumia 640s. All brought up to .122. App Store says everything is fully updated. Excel on two of the 640s has the option to pin a file to start. The third, and the one that really needs it, doesn't have the option. Only has pin to list. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling Excel. New version in the app store says it pins files, but when installed, still doesn't have the option the other 2 640s have.

Suggestions?

Wait they can pin to start now?! I gotta check this out!

I'm not sure what's up here though, maybe a temporary gap in an update rollout? I hope someone more knowledgeable comes through.

Update:
Updated the OS to the .164 and we still don't have an option to pin documents to the start screen. Our other two 640s will, but not the one that needs to get it done.

Is there anyway to more completely uninstall and then reinstall the office apps?

Well for those who are/were curious, the system modded itself and the files can now be pinned. Question not answered but resolved.
