Sounds as though your browser isn't handling website security certificates properly.
Or your settings are too secure possibly.
Have you tried a browser clean-up or cache dump?
This could also be malware trying to fool you into doing something you'll regret.
Since you haven't noted which browsers you use it's a bit difficult to point to settings that may help.
