Streaming from PC to phone

Hi guys, does anyone know of a way to stream video files from a PC to the phone, other than using a remote desktop, since that is laggy as hell.

I'm asking because I am toying with the thought of getting a continuum capable phone to replace my love 930 and my otherwise redundant tablet, which is only used nowadays to stream videos from my main PC onto my TV. Netflix shouldn't be a problem since it's universal, but I'd very much like to be able to have access to my extensive film library over continuum as well.

Any advice would be very welcome!

Try Plex. I use it on my Xbox One and Phone when I'm out and about.

Streaming outside of your home network cost something like $4 a month, but it's well worth it for me. Quite easy to setup too.
