Updates in the Windows Store are frozen and return error 0x80070490

I have tried all the suggestions in the user forums to no avail. Is there a Windows Store update forthcoming? Reinstalling Windows 10 is not a viable solution as it involves the loss of installed software.

Have you run the 'apps troubleshooter'?

Really pathetic that MS are not responding to this problem. There are thousands if not millions that have this problem. On my Icon it downloads but on my PC it gives the effin error. Searching for a solution on Google and Bing shows that this is a BIG issue!!! Not an isolated case.Wake up Microsoft!!!
