what should I do to be a mobile app developer and which course should I take?

I want to be a mobile app developer and I want to develop a mobile gaming app for windows phone. I am planning to take a mobile application development program from Cestar college. The course includes basic programming with Objective-C, java, ios based game development and so on . This is a short term course and I would like to know if this is sufficient enough to be a mobile app developer or should I go for something more professional?
