how do i completely uninstall an app so it doesn't remember my settings?

Having trouble with Twitter, so have uninstalled and reinstalled, but when I reinstalled, it said I already owned it, and had remembered all my previous settings, eg no push notifications.
How do I uninstall completely - Store says I still own the app, I need to start from scratch again.

Why? Anyways I would recommend you to delete your phone backups from OneDrive. Don't know it may or may not work as there is no documentation on where data from app roaming folder is stored.

Or else create a new Microsoft account and start from scratch.
