E-Mail I read on my Lumia 830 shows as 'Unread' on my Surface Pro 2 both Running Win 10

[Windows Central Question]

On my other smartphones, when I've read an e-mail it will show as read on my PC as well, and vice versa. Now I'm running Win 10 on my Surface and Lumia, but when I read my e-mail on my Lumia, I'll have to mark it as read on my Surface as well (and the other way around if I read my e-mail on my Surface first).

Any way to sync my message status so it shows as 'read' on all devices after I read it on one?

I'm using a Gmail account. Lumia 830 running Win10, Surface Pro 2 also on Win10.

Check your mail settings to see how often your mail is being synced. You might want to change it to As Items Arrive. Or you could hit the sync button whenever you're done with stuff so it can sync up.

I'll check those settings. I do have the option to get mail as soon as it arrives.

It may just be a Windows thing because it also happens with reminders. I say it in my Surface and it on my phone, but I'd I mark it complete on one device it doesn't update it on the other.

I expected a Windows exclusive ecosystem would be more connected. It seems like it's half there.
