What is the "actual" use of one hand mode in windows 10 mobile ?

We have to long press start button and screen is shortened, for one hand use, so if we am using an app (say WhatsApp) then we can't write, we can barely read messages.
so, how do you use that feature ?

I really think that feature is still halfway finished because its still limited ,even when you open a photo it displays half .what I really think is that when that feature is really functional it would shrink all the content on the display to the size of the screen

The only purpose of it is so you can reach something on the top half of the screen without having to stretch or use your other hand. Because software developers like to build things with menus and controls on the top.

Hold down home, then touch what you couldn't reach before, then hold down home again.
