Sorry, this song cannot be played on Android phone?

[Windows Central Question]

"Sorry, this song cannot be played" on android phone

I ripped a number of cds to my laptop via Windows Media player. I then synced them to my android phone but, when trying to play them, receive the "Sorry, this song cannot be played" message. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Likely they are in .wma format. You need a player that will accept the file format.
