Why is my screen unresponsive?

Why is my screen unresponsive

I have an iPod touch and for some reason the screen is being really unresponsive but when I go to enter my pass it works perfectly fine, it's not unresponsive or anything at all, but when I finished entering the pass it just acts up, I already tried resetting the settings btw
