So with the insider prgram you are able to upgrade 512RAM devices to win10. The experience is somewhat buggy, but at least you get to use win10. The question is tho, is Win8.1 still relevant, and for how long? Is it better to upgrade and have a slightly buggy UX on win10, or should i rather leave a device on Win8.1 which is smooth?

It's a 625, so Qualcomm MSM8930 Snapdragon 400 Dual-core 1.2. But it seems now actually that I can't update past build 10586.318. Is that possibly the last version pushed to 512 MB's?

Hi, 10586.318 is the latest threshold build. Phones on official or insider preview point to this. When you refer to updating past this build, only supported phones can get the Redstone builds and need to be in the fast or slow ring. So .318 is currently the end of the line not just for 512mb devices, but also any unsupported models.

Not end of the line but the latest official release, there is a later build available to Insider Release Preview users, the .338 build
