Admin account says password is wrong?

Admin account says password is wrong

The only login account showing at startup is the built in Admin account. When I enter what I thought was my password, it comes up "wrong password". I don't want to reinstall my OS. What can I do?

there are no other user accounts like guest? And you're sure about the password?
